Investigation of influence of unit cell parameters on electronic structure, magnetic moments and enthalpy of formation of carbide phase in Fe—Al—C system is carried out. Structures of Fe—C and Fe—Al bonds in Fe$_{3}$AlC$_{0.66}$ compound and their change caused by the unit cell volume change are considered on the basis of calculated electron densities of states.
Key words: electronic structure, enthalpy, $K$-phase, carbide phase, nonstoichiometry.
