The temperature dependences of dynamic shear modulus and internal friction as well as the structural evolution under heating of submicrocrystalline copper of the FRTP grade are investigated. As found, the anomalous increase (up to 50%) in the shear modulus of copper with increasing of the heat treatment temperature is due to the appearance of the annealing twins.
Key words: copper, shear modulus, texture, annealing twins.
