An electric sintering process is studied in the theoretical macrorheology terms. A compact is the Kelvin—Voigt elastic-viscous body. The basis of the study is Second Newton’s law (momentum equation). The constitutive equation of densification of an elastic-viscous compact at electric sintering is deduced. Investigation shows that the increase in current density at electrothermics intensifies the compaction due to stronger reduction of viscosity than elasticity.

Key words: constitutive equation, electric sintering, elastic-viscous material, decrease of viscosity and elasticity, electrothermics.
