The engineering methodology for analytical estimation of the strength of the ‘detail part–thin coating’ system under the conditions of abrasive wearing is developed. The model of a thin plate interacted with Winkler elastic base is taken for calculations. The distribution of equivalent stresses in the coating and in the substrate under a local action of fixed and unfixed abrasives is investigated.
Key words: thin coating, fixed and unfixed abrasive, stress, strength.
