The diffusion distribution of the chromium, carbon, and iron concentrations around the carbides of 20Cr13 steel under conditions of short-term heating at a temperature of 1100°C in case of complete and partial dissolution of carbides is simulated and calculated. Quantitative characteristics of the chemical heterogeneity in the heterogeneous structure of austenite before the martensitic transformation are obtained.
Key words: carbide, mass transfer, diffusion, non-equilibrium austenitization.
