The ultrafine powders (UFP) of the Heusler Cu—13.1 Mn—12.6 Al (% wt.) alloy after electrospark dispergation in various liquids (distilled water, kerosene, and ethanol) and compacted samples are studied. The finer structure as well as the changes of the UFP phase composition and their influence on magnetic and transport properties are revealed. The XRD measurements show that amount of the ordered Cu$_{2}$MnAl phase in the initial and compacted powders is lower than that in the cast material. Because of this fact, the saturation magnetization is decreased by several times. The magnetic measurements show that the particles of the ordered phase are in the superparamagnetic state. The change of the type of electrical conduction of the compacted powders from metallic to semiconducting one is caused by the oxidation of the metal particles during compacting and subsequent sintering.
