Correlation dependences of mass transfer for the hard wear-resistant and soft anti-friction metal electrodes at electrospark alloying (EEA) of steel 45 surfaces on the treatment duration are obtained. Based on experimental studies, the equations of mass transfer and the prediction of surface-layer roughness are proposed, and their constants are determined.
Key words: electrospark alloying, anode, cathode, coating, surface, X-ray diffraction analysis, mass transfer, surface roughness.
