The structure of the amorphous ribbons at different temperatures is studied by means of the x-ray diffraction. The amorphous Fe$_{80}$Si$_6$B$_{14}$ ribbons are studied in situ in temperature range from -193 to 598°C; the amorphous Fe$_{82}$Si$_4$B$_{14}$ ribbons are studied at temperature of -170°C and after annealing at temperatures from 23 to 500°C. The amorphous Fe$_{77}$Si$_8$B$_{15}$ ribbons are investigated before and after soaking in liquid nitrogen for 3.5 hours. As determined, the presence of thermal-stability intervals, in which the structure and, consequently, the physical and mechanical properties are invariable, is the characteristic feature of these alloys. In the region of cryogenic temperatures, some structural changes in the amorphous state are observed. These changes can be related with structural relaxation, and thermal stability is not saved.

Key words: amorphous metallic alloys (AMAs), atomic structure, x-ray diffraction, cryogenic temperatures, structural relaxation.
